Encinias - Animal Identification

Manny Encinias, a livestock specialist at New Mexico State University’s Clayton Livestock Research Center, takes a retinal scan of a cow. Scientists are evaluating eye-scanning and radio frequency identification (RFID) ear tags as part of a National Animal Identification System pilot project using New Mexico cattle. (10/17/2005)
