A food technology specialist with New Mexico State University's Cooperative Extension Service will travel to Mexico to help a group of women learn more about the food processing business. Nancy Flores will travel to Tabasco through the Farmer-to-Farmer program sponsored by the Land O' Lakes Corporation.

"There are four groups of women, a total of 75 women, and they are into making their own food products and they want to export them eventually, but right now they're trying to make them commercially viable."

Flores will also teach basic food safety and basic labeling requirements during the program. For N-M-S-U's College of Agriculture and Home Economics, I'm Anna María Pérez-Wright.
