The thing women look for most in a man is thoughtfulness, according to a New Mexico State University marriage and family therapy professor. Robert Del Campo says as Valentine's Day approaches, the guy who will make a woman happy is one who plans ahead.

"Not the guy who is driving home from work on February 14th and says ‘Oh, this is Valentine's Day, let me pop into the store, get some half-dead roses and scribble on a card and hand it to my wife and say happy Valentine's Day.' Women much prefer things that are thought out and planned ahead of time to show her that she's really important to him. Men want the same things."
